    Windows XP

Problem: When starting computer I get a blank blue screen, nothing else. I can access AOL by clicking Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up Windows Task Manager. I then click New Task, type in AOL and click OK. When AOL comes on there is no Task Bar, so I cannot click START. Please advise. Thank you.

Can you boot into SAFE mode?

    Have you tried anything else?

    (all comments about AOL, deleted)

If you can boot up with the F8 Key, select the option to go back to a time when things were working.

When you get to taskmanager try running "explorer.exe" instead of AOL.
Explorer.exe will be found in the Windows directory if you need to browse for it.

And if running explorer as suggested by Clint works, download and run Malwarebytes. Sounds like you picked up some malware.
