    Unreadable text

After doing the last "Second Tuesday" updates, all text became illegible.
I have included a screen capture of my desktop but all Windows generated text appears this way
I can maneuver in "Safe Mode"
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've run into this same problem with win 7 twice and win xp 3 times. A rescue cd and going back to an earlier restore point fixes it, also a repair will do the trick. I scanned for malware and viruses etc...negative. This is showing up too frequently to be chance. Hope this helpes.

I would do a restore from just prior to the updates to fix the problems. I would then install the updates one at a time to see if this reoccurs. It almost looks like one of the Wingdings (I think that's what they are called) fonts has replaced the fonts Windows normally uses. Did one of the updates add or modify fonts? Check more info on the updates before installing them one at a time.

You can see the Wingdings but going to Control Panel, Fonts.
