    Sleepy printer

I have a hp Officejet 4500 Wireless printer connected to a HP Pavillion 6650z op w7
the printer goes to sleep and the only way to wake it up is to unplug it and plug it bank in .
Is there any way for it to stay on?

I'm really out of touch with these new printers, especially the WiFi ones, but on every one I've seen, so far, there is a control panel in the computer that you can open to set certain parameters for the printer. Have you looked there, for an answer? I would!

Does the printer have the latest drivers directly from HP? I would try this first. Go directly to HP, plug in your Printer model, OS and download the drivers.

Does this happen after your PC sleeps or hibernates?

Did you try disabling "USB selective suspend"?

Is this the printer itself going to sleep (i.e. power conservation mode)?

Glad you got it working. There are times it's just the hardware.
