How to fix a corrupt folder?

One of my folders in Outlook 2007 is suddenly giving this message:

"Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook cannot access the specified folder location. The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook. Outlook cannot open this item. The item may be damaged"

Messages that should go to that folder are coming in to my regular inbox with no problem. I just can't open, delete or change the folder in any way. Outlook has been restarted several times. All other folders are fine.

    Suggestions please??

    Have you run scanpst?

Have you check the synchronization log?

    Thanks again Joe.

Another new arrow in my quiver! They sure make it hard to find info on scanpst, but it worked like a charm.

Hate to admit I don't know anything about a synchronization log..... if you can point me in the right direction to learn about it?

In the Outlook navigation pane (usually on the left), when you click on the Folder List icon or use CTRL+F6 the "Sync Issues" folder should appear above in the folder hierarchy.

CTRL+F6 does nothing, and when I click on the Folder List icon, nothing but the usual folders appear. Its not a big issue at the moment as I scanpst did what I needed, so may have to look at the sync issue thing later....

Oops. Should've been CTRL+6. When I do that, in any account structure the "Sync Issues" folder is above the Tasks folder in the navigation pane.

    CTRL+6 doesn't work either.

DUH moment here! I suspect it doesn't show up because I don't think I have ever sync-d anything. [yes I WAS a blonde before it turned white!!]
