    Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010

    Hi,

I am going to take a Microsoft Office 2007 class. Outlook 2007 is one of the components we will be studying. I have Microsoft Office 2010 on my computer and Outlook 2010 is the active Outlook being used by my computer. Are Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010 sufficiently close in construction that class material pertaining to Outlook 2007 will also be applicable to Outlook 2010? If the answer is 'Yes,' then I will not have to remove Outlook 2010 and install Outlook 2007. Thank you.

This article from Microsoft summarizes the changes from 2007 to 2010: What's new in Microsoft Outlook 2010 - Outlook - Office.com. While 2010 has a ribbon in the main Inbox view rather than menus and toolbars, I think most of the headline features carry over. You will just have to hunt around a bit to follow along.
