    Trouble with Winamp, iTunes devices

I'll start by explaining the problem.

I just installed Winamp to manage my music and iTunes to download them. I plug my iPod in and it wants to reformat the device. I don't want this because I already have tons of great tracks to listen to. I use Winamp and it also wants to reformat it too. I then use Discover on Winamp to try and find it but to no avail. Being disgusted with this, I then plug in my Android which has no music on it. Winamp can't find the stupid thing either. There are no driver problems. Please help!

I know nothing about iTunes, but am pretty good with Winamp. Once you have downloaded music, put it in a folder on D: drive if you have one, then tell Winamp where to find it.

I use MediaMonkey to manage my media, similarly you tell it where to look for music and it does the rest, but it doesn't attempt to re-format anything.
itunes uses it's own naming convention for your music files. Have you managed to persuade it to name the files sensibly?

    cheers, Paul
