    Speech Recognition

Does anyone use the speech recognition feature in windows 7 ?

I'm kinda curious about it and may try it and would like some feedback from anyone using it..
    Thanks

I tried it one day about a year ago. It was a good start, but I did not find it very useful. It was a little sluggish on a Core2Duo 3.06 Ghz Win7 64 bit PC. I felt then it needed to mature some more.

Well, maybe I will play around with it.
I really don't need to use it but thought it would be fun to try it..

I think I once read it was based on the Dragon program.

    Speech Recognition

Personally, I use Dictation Pro. It works well with just a few minutes of training and it is completely free. Runs well on my dual core PC. Download here: http://www.deskshare.com/dictation.aspx

Never tried any. Do not see the reason at this point. I'd rather "play" with Win 8 DP. Seems a better use of my time. I have read over the years about Naturally Speaking. Seems rather expensive, but for a seeing impaired user, it would be a small price to pay.

The Home version of Dragon Naturally Speaking on that page is pretty good, and much cheaper!

Like I said I have not tried it, but this is the app I have read the most about over the years. I am sure there are many good apps out there, but I have not read nearly as much about any other app.
