    Jumpy monitor

Scrolling on my 24" HP LCD monitor is not at all smooth, especially when scrolling at a faster rate. Have tried every setting I could find to no avail. Using Vista Home Premium 64 bit w/4GB's of ram. Any suggestions on how to smooth the movement?

Is it the monitor or the display card? Can you test another monitor?
    Try changing the refresh rate.

    cheers, Paul

Quite often these type problems are the graphics adapter rather than the monitor as Paul was alluding to. What type graphics adapter. Should be able to tell in Device Manager. I would pay a visit to the graphics adapter web site and see if there is a driver update.

Thanks Paul and Ted for the feed-back. Don't have another monitor, so will have to do some digging at the vendor's site.
