Toshiba satellite A665 keeps booting to Recovery Wizard

This is a friends laptop that is about a year old. It keeps booting to the Toshiba Recovery Wizard. If you exit the recovery wizard it just reboot to it again. After reseating the hard drive the laptop booted to the win7 login screen and worked for about a day before Toshiba Recovery Wizard problem returned.
Any ideas as to what is causing this?

    garfau1,
Hello... Just a thought... On my PC you would have to enter a "F" key to enter the recovery mode..It would make sense that on the Toshiba, you would have to do something similar .... maybe a stuck key? Regards Fred

Thanks for the reply. I had thought of that because you need to press the 0 key to get to the recovery wizard. But since I was able to boot the laptop I did not look at it further. Guess I will take another look.

Has the laptop been handled roughly in the past?
You may also want to take a closer look at the drives cable connections for potential damage.

If the laptop is within a year old he may still qualify for support, depending upon the exact details of the warranty.
