Enable 64-Bit option while using IE 10 and Win 8 DP

Internet Options, Security tab, check enable 64-Bit option:

I hadn't seen this before today so I suspect others haven' as well.

Probably because Windows 8 is now CP, when Ted started this thread, it was still DP. There are other differences as well, such as the trick to bring the old Start Menu back. These are gone with Windows 8 CP.

Thanks Ted! Somehow or another I found this forum while reading, when reading an article.

Glad that I did, as many versions & brands of OS's are covered here. On most of the Linux sites, there's too much Windows bashing, & that's not what I'm looking for. I'm go to those forums for support, not to bash what other users runs.

Anyway, Windows 8 CP is a lot different from the DP version, which I only ran a couple of times on an old hard drive, then after seeing it wasn't ready for me, formatted it. Figured that the CP would be better, & so far it has been.

You are correct. People have to look at the dates to differentiate between the versions of Win 8 CP was released on March 29th I believe. Any posts about features before that time would be pertaining to Win 8 DP which was much different than Win 8 CP. Win 8 CP is much more refined. It has a much larger driver base, although far from complete. The Metro apps still leave a lot to be desired, in fact the whole Metro UI leaves a lot to be desired IMHO. It's really not meant for business use, or actually get work done. It is designed for tablets and touch screens which are not mainstream business right now, and probably not in the foreseeable future.

Maybe it is due to being on IE 10 and 64 bitness already. I am and I have the same presentation, no option to validate 64 bit.

It does not exist in W8 Beta. It may have in the DP; I really don't recall.
