Post Kingston Flash Drive not recognized by Explorer

My Kingston flash drive is no longer recognized by Explorer. Device manager sees it but nothing in Explorer. ( plugged into USB port)
If I type in the drive letter ( e.g. I:\) it will display the drive contents.

Also if I insert an SD card from my camera, it doesn't recognize it either. But it does recognize the mouse & keyboard - both plugged into USB ports as well.

Both the flash & SD card work fine in other computers.

Also , I downloaded a program called Explorer2 lite, a better program , and it does recognize the flash drive..

I also ran MS Security Essentials full scan - nothing. Malware Bytes, check - nothing.

    Tried a different Kingston flash drive, same result. ( 1Gb & 2Gb )

Something has changed, but I don't know what!!
    Any suggestions??

Hello...While there (Computer Management) open "Disk Management" and look for you device... Right click on it and assign a letter to it from the drop down... Regards Fred

I wonder if your drivers for both devices have been lost. When I could not access my SD card, I simply went to my PC manufacturer's site and downloaded new drivers. Solved my problem. Do they show up in Device Manager? If so, delete them and reboot. Windows will find them and reload the drivers.

it doesn't show it in devices, only in device manager.
If I type in I:\ in explorer, it will show the contents. But drag and drop doesn't work.
