    Favorites Folder

Before I re installed I.E. 9, when I would click on a favorites folder, with another folder already open, the one that was open, would close. Now that is not happening, did I miss a setting somewhere along the line?
    Thanks John

John, Is this what you are talking about:

    FavoritesFolders.jpg

As can be seen I opened these 3 folders one at a time. This seems to be the normal method using IE 9 (and earlier versions if I remember correctly) and IE 10 (In Win 8 DP)

Ehh thanks Ted but in mine, the open foders would close... I am wondering if it didn't have something to do with the IE 7 Pro that I had installed a while back. I know that parts of it carried over.. Will have to check that out.
    Thanks John

Not sure about that John, but mine has always responded like this. Perhaps it is because of the Pro stuff.

Ok I found it: Tools/Internet Options/Advanced Scroll down to Browsing. Put a check mark by Close unused folders in History and Favorites. Restart your browser. Now when you open a second favorite folder, the one already open will closeCapture.JPG

OK. How does that relate to opening a new tab?

I see what you mean John, pertaining to the other thread. I put a check mark there and only one favs folder opens at a time. Nice find.
