This is in no way, a derogatory remark about that linked article, at "How to Geeks".

I'm sure every one of those tweaks works as advertised. But do they.....

have a GREAT impact on computer speed and efficiency? Ehhhhhhhhhhh, not so much!
Or are they just so much 'Eye Candy' ?

All told, I've read literally hundreds of 'tweaks' that are supposed to be THE GREATEST thing
since bubble gum. Personally, I just as soon have the Bubble Gum. Lots more fun!

I use one tweak that can almost double the efficiency of Windows (any windows).
Now, that's what I call a worthwhile Tweak.

Ok, I feel myself getting in the "fight zone", so I'm outta heah! Eh?

The article Fred alludes to are mostly convenience reg tweaks, some usefull. It depends on personal preference and tastes I guess.
Remember Kelly's Korner? Lots and lots of eye candy

When I upgraded to 7 from XP I missed a couple of things, like the delete button in windows explorer and a few other features so I used some registry tweaks to bring them back....

I always make an image before applying any in case they don't work as advertised...

    I'm happy..
