    Outlook Home Page

Outlook 2010: Not unreasonably I want my inbox as home page. The setting is greyed out under the folder's Properties>Home Page tab. Searching Google threw up a required registry edit to the subkey 'Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook', a subkey that doesn't seem to exist on my system, even without the backslash before 14.0. Any other way to do it?

If you mean you want Outlook to start with your inbox displayed then in Outlook go to File | Options | Advanced | "Outlook start and exit" section in the right pane. Use the browse button to find your inbox.

    Red face

Brilliant! Now why on earth couldn't I find such a straight forward fix by searching Microsoft's help files or elswhere on the net? Thanks a lot, Joe

With your pathway I did find it but when using 'Find' it didn't -odd! Anyway, problem solved thanks to Joe.
