FF 7.01 problems clearing history when Firefox closes

This is not working for me. When I next open firefox, the cache has not been cleared. I did not have this problem in firefox 4. Anyone else seeing this?

Hi Ruthy
Yes I have the same problem with FF 7.0.1, with the history not clearing when FF closes.

Hi Ruthy
Maybe this will help. Open FF, tools>options>Privacy tab>settings> Settings for Clearing History, check Browsing History, OK.

Resolved

I disabled some add-ons that weren't working in version 7 and the problem went away.

I had the same problem in reverse. I WANT my previous tabs restored, so I unchecked that box and viola, it remembers them all. What I do though to clear things I want cleared is make websites ask me about cookies, there is an option there to let a site have a cookie that gets deleted when FF closes. I keep some permanent ones but most I let stay only until I close the browser and I have a couple programs to get rid of Flash cookies that I run periodically too. But I use the same tabs so much, I want them to come back up when FF reopens. :^)

Firefox enable us for use of Auto Delete Browsing History for safe browsing. Where as recent versions of Google Chrome don't have such option.

Try to use a software like CCleaner to clean up. I switched back to FF v16.
