    Need to know how to see 6 blank cells

    Hi to all,

    I would to know if in cell a1, excel can show me when it see 6 consecutive (side by side) blank cells ANYWHERE on a row..

    any help please

    In a separate row, you can add the formula in Col B:
    =COUNTA(B1:G1)
    Copy the formula across the row for as many columns as you want to search

    Then in A1 enter (presuming the intermediate formulas are in row 2):
    =MATCH(0,2:2,0)

    This will return the number of the column where the 6 blank cells start.
