Tools-Accounts, choose your account, hit Properties. On the Server tab, remove "keep a copy of the message on server".

If I follow your advise, will I still be able access my hotmail account also?

    I don't know why not...
All you're doing is telling it to move the emails from the server to your computer, instead of COPYING them to your computer. Some people access their accounts from other locations (computers) and maintain (keep) their messages on the server so they have them all in one place. Suppose I access my account from home and from work. Well, if I don't keep a copy on the server, I won't be able to go to work and see my previous messages from there also--they'll have been moved to my home PC. Hope that makes sense. If you leave a copy on the server, then there's no point in even "picking your mail up" from that account.
