    Synching Sharepoint Server 2007/2010

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to migrate/sync a sharepoint site made using sharepoint 2007 to sharepoint 2010.
The reason being ,i have inherited ( read the boss told me to ) manage a sharepoint site. it uses both english AND dutch in the text of the site.
I would like to download / mirror the site and then republish it using only ONE language .
I am new to Sharepoint ,but it all seems easy to work with except this one point.
    Any help would be appreciated.

You can migrate the site. See Upgrade and Migration for Sharepoint 2010 for the Microsoft viewpoint. Also, check the links at migrate sharepoint 2007 to 2010.

There is a lot of information available around the internet.
