    Unhappy Outlook 2010 Password Prompt

    U am using Outlook 2010. Up to about 30 times daily i get a password confirmation prompt.
    It superimposes on top of whatever I am doing and is darned irritating.
    Please help

    I get that sometimes and it usually means there is a server problem, if you know the password is good and it works all the other times. So you need to find out which specific account is causing that and then try to determine why, once you are sure the password is correct. Probably can make sense contact whoever is responsible for that email server.

    Another alternative is to exclude that speficic account from the All Accounts group and then check manually for emails just for that account.

    Outlook uses the protected storage area of the Windows registry and in earlier versions of Windows this occasionally has gotten corrupted, resulting in the password never being saved. In these cases, deleting and re-adding the email account (for POP3 accounts) usually solved the problem.
