MDB to MDE error

I created a database using Access 2000 (not sure of version#). I then saved it in the 97 format. Now here I am using Access 97 SR-2 at work. I'm getting this error message when trying to create a mde. "Error in loading dll".
Has anyone experienced this before? It's just this database, I can create mde's on all the other ones.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Did you check if your references all still correct?
Do you use a function from a dll that is not present?
Can you post the exact error message you get, that can give a clue to the solution of your problem.

Yes all my references are right on and I didn't use any dll functions??
The messages are of no help at all. The first one I get says"Error in loading DLL" with an ok and help button. The help button isn't much help. ha ha
The second message says"Microsoft Access was unable to create an MDE database." with an ok button. And that's it...nothing else. Help!!

Try this. Create a new database at work and import all the objects from the converted database. Set the references as necessary to compile your code. Access 2000 uses ADO as the default object model, while Access 97 and earlier used DAO, so be sure the code compiles.

Now try and make an MDE out of that MDB. Do you get the same error?
