My email address used as spam

Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I would like an answer if possible.

I have noticed emails showing up in my spam folder that indicate they are being sent by “me” with my yahoo email address.
They are not being sent by me and I am concerned how someone can send spam that appears to originate from my account.

They for the most part are “job opportunities” and not anything more dangerous.

How is this happening and what can I do to stop it in the future.

I used this website to check if my account is on hackers list, but found no results -https://pwnedlist.com/

Hope you can provide an explaination. Thanks in advance.

I think this topic addresses the possible causes for that situation: http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...e-mail-address

Well, I guess that answers that question. I figured someone else had a similar situation.

Thank you for your speedy reply.

You could add your own email address to your blocked emails list then you shouldn't receive any more.
