    Why This Stop Error?

Got a Dell Dimension desktop driving me crazy. Running Win Vista Home Premium. If I let it start normally, it gets as far as the Desktop and then crashes with the following message:

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    STOP: 0x0000000A (0x0000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x81E3883C)

If I look in Device Manager in Safe Mode, everything looks OK. PC has no PS2 ports, so the keyboard and mouse are both USB. No onboard video, either, using a PCI-E nVidia card. Any suggestions welcome <grin>.

Sound like a driver issue. Since you can boot to safe mode, you can try the Clean boot diagnostic procedure to narrow down the culprit.
