    Chrome Flash issue

When I go to a site which needs Flash (most recently UK's thinkbroadband for the speed test) I get a message saying Flash (TM) Plug in is required - click here to download. I do this and after the confirmation box, not a lot seems to happen. I try it again with the same result.

I am running XP SP3, Chrome release is 15.0.874.121 m and Flash is WIN 11,1,102,55. I have uninstalled Chrome, used the Adobe tool to uninstall Flash and reinstalled Chrome, with the same result.

    Anyone with any thoughts?

I think that Chrome includes it's own player similar to flash. The site you go to may need flash. You might need to use IE on this site.

Thanks Ted - just realised that the main problem lies between the chair and the keyboard. It's Java that's needed (I was busy with Flash last night, so still in my mind!) A manual install of Java has resolved it.

Appreciate your reply and the trigger it created!

My main problem usually lies between my 2 ears. It is hard at times to get my brain cell to fire up. Glad you found the resolution to your problem. If my guess helped to jog your memory all the better.
