I have a medion Laptop md98550 when i turn it on i get a Black screen and 4 beeps then nothing, i have tried booting with out the battery in, have swapped ram around, i am thinking it is the hdd, it was working fine up to this time, would it be worth putting another hard drive in it.

That really depends on the cause of the problem. It could be something else, like the graphics adapter. Can you have it serviced?

2011-11-20 05:11more likely to be faulty graphics adaptor. As even with a faulty hard drive you would get bios screen saying error or something.
