    MSE scan every 3rd day

It seems that about every three days my MSE goes from green to orange and requires a scan. I thought the scan was automatic once a week. Is this normal? I'm not having any problems with my PC so I thought this was unusual. Thanks.

I did have this problem, as Clint suggests, when I was a tad too aggressive with CCleaner and cleared the scan logs for MSE. When you do this, MSE does not think it has been scanned recently. I woud think other cleaners might have the same effect.

Thanks for the quick replys. Yes, I run CCleaner every day. I will run it less and see what happens but your answer does make sense.

Open CC Cleaner click on Applications tab go down to utilities and make sure Microsoft Security Essentials is unchecked

CCleaner also wanted to delete information from Malwarebytes and WinPatrol. I unchecked both. However, I didn't realize that MS AntiMalware referred to Microsoft Security Essentials. Thanks to this thread, I've now unchecked it as well.
