Tweaking performance for a VPN
I have a client with a new remote user that was running a database designed for a local area network over a VPN. While I've advised against this because response time drops precipitously, they were experiencing normal throughput but with some seriously bad data writes, leaving missing records or incorrect pointers being recorded. Does anyone know what might be done to make the connection more dependable (this is an FMI, since I've moved the data set to their local drive). Thanks!
