    Word 2010 Startup Question

I'm having trouble tweaking Word 2010 in Win7Pro64. In earlier versions of Word, I could cause Word to start up without a blank document by adding an /n to the start up path in the properties dialog box. Now, however, I don't see anything like an editable path in the startup properties. I'm sure there must be a way to fix this, but, silly me, I can't find it and searches here and in word help and online don't turn up any answer.
    Thanks in advance!

You can not use the "special" shortcuts created by installing Office. You need to create your own shortcut. See How to use startup command line switches.

Just so. I suspected it might be something like that, but it was worth asking to find out if MS had made it possible to do with the 'special' shortcuts. I presume this will work for the rest of the Office programs....
Thank you very much for the quick reply.
s'funny... I'm a newbie more or less on this forum, but go waaaay back with Woody to the early '90s when he was first doing the power pack and beta testing various software... especially a precursor of Outlook called Packrat. Something of kludge, but it worked well with Winword 2.0. etc.
