I've set up an IMAP account in Outlook 2003 and find that deleted items are not removed, only shown crossed out, until I go to Edit>Purge.
Is there a way to make this more automatic?
Would they ever go away if I did not manually purge them?
Thanks

Thanks Joe.
I've since been reading a bit on IMAP, not sure if the advantages are worth it for me.
But I definately do not like this behavior on deleted items.
From what I can tell, IMAP emails do not go into a Deleted Items folder? They are either left in your Inbox crossed-out or they are permanently gone after purging?
