    "Resolved" Can I run a scenario here? Gmail/u-verse/OE6 issue;

    Friend has XP home and was using OE6 thru Comcast and all was well.

    Enter U-verse change (ATT doesn't support OE or any 3rd party email clients) and have to use there ATT web mail.
    However, in looking though his new Gmail account it appears that if he uses IMAP and config OE6 to use IMAP that he might be able to have all his Gmail downloaded to his XP oe6??

    Hence, he could use his favorite OE6 that he is comfortable using for both receiving and sending mail.

    Has anyone addressed this issue and/or used that configuration?

    It appears that you can use an email client as long as you did not sign up for a free account. Here's a solution for Window 7 & Windows Live Mail Setting up an email client for AT&T email & Email server settings. The settings should be the same for OE.
