Outlook 2007 Can't accept Meeting request

I have a couple of users that have expressed the same problem of getting a meeting request and not being able to accept it because they are the meeting organizers even though they are not. We are on Exchange 2003 and the requests are sent from different people. Has anyone seen this before and have an idea how to prevent it from happening?

Is the problem always with the same users?

Were there updates to Exchange Server or Outlook applied recently?

If you use an Offline Address Book can you force a regeneration at the server and then a local synchronization?

Joe, this is happening to a few different people.

No updates have been applied recently.

Yes we can do that with the Offline Address Book.
