    Security settings for IE

Can anyone recommend security settings for Internet Explorer? Years ago, when Fred Langa had his own forum, he had an article that described how to set the security settings. I would like to start using the IE, but hesitate with out proper settings. Sure could use some expert advise. Or, if by some chance, someone has his article, to post it here. Thanks.

The default settings work well for me. Just part of a multi-layered defense system with a router that has a firewall, the Windows 7 firewall, Microsoft Security Essentials. Have used several different router, firewall, and anti-malware products through the years. Never had any sort of malware issue. I'm also careful about where I go on the internet, what I download, and what email attachments I open.

You don't say which version of IE you are thinking of, but IE 9 is the most secure version to date and as Joe mentions I also use the default settings in my own multi-layered approach with active AV/AM (Mse here as well) and a software (Online Armor++) and hardware (Router) firewalls.

    Hi squire,
I agreed with Joe and Ted. You can also use OpenDNS as another line of defence.
