Cannot install Visio with upgrade disk.

I bought Visio 5, then Visio 2003 since upgrading from 5 was not allowed. I then upgraded to 2007. we had moved and a few of my disks were damaged, incuding my Visio 2003. Now I cannot install my 2007 on my new Windows 7 laptop. Visio 5 is way to old to install, my 2003 disk is broken, and my 2007 only looks for "approved" MS Office files. I called Microsoft and was told the disk is out of print and I am out of luck.

Any idea's?

You could try E-Bay, but it looks like Visio 2003 is going for over $100. Its still available on the MS volume licensing site, but you have to be a corporate customer to get access to it. So maybe you could make friends with your company's IT guy who administers licenses and see if he can download the iso file and burn you a copy. So long as he doesn't give you the company's license key, he wouldn't be violating any agreements. And you aren't installing it, just presenting it to 2007 to qualify the upgrade path.

I am not on the best terms with our IS department. I have been running a small peer to peer controls network (PLC's and Ethernet I/O) for 10 years. They do not understand that a controls network is far different then a "regular" network and are upset that I have not integrated my network with the plant network.

If I am needing to spend money, could I get the 2010 upgrade and use the 2007 upgrade DVD for my upgrade path?

If I can somehow get my hands on an .iso file, what application would I need to get it on a DVD or CD that my 2007 upgrade disk could read?

You can just right click the file, choose Open With and then Windows Disc Image Burner. This will burn the file to a CD or DVD.
