mrangry, I would also like to welcome you to the Lounge. Please don't be too angry during this season.

Are you sure you do not have a virus/trojan/scamware, etc? Have you tried muting everything? I'm not really sure what bells you might be talking about. Are they coming from your speakers?

    Hi Guys

Thanks for the welcome and the comments. I'll try to stay calm, actually just had a mini heart attack so calm is the way forward!!

That's difficult though, when I just want to watch Sky News for example....

Take a look at this link, to a streaming site, and watch the news for a while, then you'll see what I mean, the bells will start ringing http://www.time4tv.net/2011/09/sky-sports-news.html

As I'm watching, the only thing my computer is doing is watching that one page, nothing else at all open. I know it's now a windows noise, nor is it in sounds settings.

Thanks if you can give any advice!!

That site is "Under Construction" so who knows what might be happening. Also a lot of ads. I would be very wary of new sites like this, especially with the multitude of streaming ads.

The bells did not toll for me!

Hi, so it could be the ads maybe?

The bells will toll if you leave it on long enough

Is there another place I could watch tv online?

    MR. Angry,

Try clearing your Temporary Internet Files and any Cookies for that site. You could also try another browser like FireFox or Chrome since they won't have any history and see if it happens with one of them.

I know what MrAngry is talking about.
I like to watch a certain sport when it's on PPV and Sky sometimes carries it.
I too get that "boing, boing, boing" sometimes. It's in the data stream, not
something you can change on your computer, except turn your sound DOWN.
If you wanna play, ya gotta pay! Eh?

It's a small price to pay, for a sport that would normally cost you $49 if you
    watch it on TV.

One thing you might do is perform a Google Search for that sport and see if
    you can find another source.

    Just a thought,

PS: Of course, I went to the site and saw that they are "Under Construction".
Hopefully they are responding to complaints from their viewers.
