W7Live mail account refused at Comcast.

Have 5 email accounts, all with different passwords. Now one account password not accepted by Comcast server. Other 4 accounts still work fine. Tried changing password, tried deleting account and restoring with new password, tried searching computer for all words in that account and deleted all, then re-inputted the account but new password still not accepted. The bad account uses my name, even tried adding symbols to my name. Where to look next?

Have you contacted Comcast to explain the situation to them?

    Mountainguide,

I have a friend who has six different email boxes at Gmail and they are all set up in his email program on his PC.
All but one would work just fine, but one could not send email.
It received just fine but absolutely Would Not send.

I went through all the setup, entry by entry and on the page that has the port setup on it, I noticed that the SMTP port # was incorrect.

Where the port should have been 995 it had been mis-typed and was only 993. That won't work. The devil is in the details!

Once that little mistake was corrected, that address sent mail normally.

So go through your entire setup for that address, not just the password and check every little detail. Something is amiss!

    Good Luck and Happy Holidays!
