    Listbox Coloring (97 SR2)

I have a listbox on a form. The third column contains one of three statuses, Pending, Open, or Closed.

Ideally, when my listbox is populated, it would identify these statuses, and change just that item the appropriate color, Red for Open, Green for Closed, Yellow for Pending.

The only problem is I have no idea how I might do this.. is it possible?

    Thanks!

I don't think that is possible with a standard list box. There may be some third-party control available that can do such a thing. Or, you could populate a Rich Text box with your own code, but it would be extremenly difficult to make it behave like a list box (that is, allow the user to select an item, then figure out later on which item they selected).

That's sorta what I thought, but if there's one crew that can accomplish the impossible, (or at least knows how,) it's the Woody's Crew! <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>

    Thanks again!

    DrkRealm

It is harder than unscrambling an egg to make each item change color independently of the other items in the listbox. But you can do some creative coding I guess using the ForeColor. I suggest you look at the example just so you can see how easy or difficult it is.

    Good Luck... HTH.
