    Formula results in a text and need results to be a number

    The "IF" formula that was created also has embeded the "RIGHT(CELL REF, 6)"formula and if the conditions agree the 6 numbers are recorded in the cell, if the conditions do not agree then a zero is recorded in the cell. {ex: =IF(A1=670001,RIGHT(CELL REF,6),0)}

    How to I get the resultant cell (WITH THE FORMULA)to become a numeric result and not alpha?

    I don't understand the question. Text to values can be converted with the VALUE function, but I don't understand exactly what you doing. Could you elaborate, perhaps posting an example file?

    In such cases, I usually add +0 to the formula.

    Does =IF(A1=670001,VALUE(RIGHT(CELL REF,6)),0) work?

    You could probably use:
    =(A1=670001)*RIGHT(CELL REF,6)
    or, at most:
    =(A1=670001)*--RIGHT(CELL REF,6)
    Cheers,
