Thumbs down Can't access the Lounge using IE 9 32-bit.

I'm getting the IE cannot display the page message. I tried again after a reboot, but no cigar. Copied & pasted the URL into Google Chrome and this notice appeared: Oops Google Chrome could not connect to lounge, windowssecrets.com, try reloading (that failed).

Then I tried connecting to windowssecrets.com and was forwarded to the newsletter. I clicked on the forum tab and here I am (using Chrome). I will try again later and hope I have more success.

Is this only happening to me or are others having the same problem?

    Gloria

I'm glad you guys aren't having a problem like mine, thanks for the report, but I need help accessing this forum.

Using the Internet Connection trouble shooter, I discovered a reason this might be happening. I was informed "The devices or resources (lounge.windowssecrets.com) is not set up to accept connections on port "The World Wide Web service (HTTP). The troubleshooter was unable to fix all the issues found." I went to Services and enabled and started running the fore mentioned WWWeb service, with no success.

Will someone please look into this and assist me?

The way I have to reach this lounge is throught the Windows Secrets Newsletter page (windowssecrets.com) and clicking on the Lounge button at the top. This is a viable work around but I'd rather use the shortcut on my desktop.

Double check the URL construction and address for your shortcut.

lounge.windowssecrets.com doesn't work for me either (Using FF 9.0.1)

However, looking at the OP "Google Chrome could not connect to lounge, windowssecrets.com, try reloading (that failed)" and in a subsequent post you appear to have to have added lounge to windowssecrets.com to make a web address which doesn't exist!

    lounge.windowssecrets.com Doesn't exist
    windowssecrets.com Does!

I don't know about what URLs people use, but my bookmark is for http://windowssecrets.com/forums.

My shortcut to the lounge cannot be used (lounge.windowssecrets.com), IE says it cannot display the page.
The shortcut I use to reach the newsletter is windowsscrets.com/ to reach the lounge from there lounge is added at the end .

If lounge.windowssecrets.com does not exist, what shortcut should be used instead? That's the shortcut I've used for years.
