    Post win7 network

I just got a new PC with Win7. I'm trying to set up a home network with 2 PC's. The other PC is a netbook with XP. They are named Kovacs-A (win7). and Kovacs-C (XP). The group is called MSHOME. The new PC can see Kovacs-C but it's not available. The netbook can see Kovacs-A but it asks for a user name & password to see the files. I don't have any passwords set up at this time for either PC.

The user name and password the net book is looking for is any user name in existence on the Kovac's a machine. If you didn't use a password on it, use the Kovac's A login user id and a blank password. You might want to consider assigning one.

Thanks for the help. I had to put in passwords in both PC's, and the network works just fine. Obviously I'm a new Win7 user. New pgms are supposed to be easier, yeah right! The blank password didn't work.
