Converting .txt to labels (Word 2000)

I am attempting <img src=/S/brainwash.gif border=0 alt=brainwash width=15 height=15> to convert a comma delimited .txt file into a label file, print it and close it - all via VBA for Word.

I am hoping someone can give me some hints on how to do this (much easier in WordPerfect !!).

By "label file" do you mean the Data Source for a merge?


If so, Word is even easier than WordPerfect (ok, just as easy).

Just put the names of the fields as line 1 in your .txt file. Then using the Merge Dialog (Tools>Mail Merge) indicate your .txt file as the data source. Bingo. No conversion required.

We finally managed to do the job.

The macro written is Inelegant, but the users will never know that.
