    Stop: oxoooooo7e, pci.sys

    Hi all
My sons computer, Dell Latitude E5400, Is giving the BSOD at boot. Checked the MS KB and see it is a driver but cant boot in safe mode either to update driver or boot from disk as all lead to the same bsod. I have 3 xp full disks but am only using the one on the home box. Is there a way to update that driver without reformating and reinstalling the os. I would try more research but am do to leave day after tomorrow to Honduras and haven't been keeping up on my tech stuff like I used to and feeling pretty stupid
    Thanks
    Jeff

You could try an XP repair install . You will need an XP cd of the same flavor (Home or Pro) and Service pack level as the problem PC.
