    Convert filter

I create a CSV file to use as a data file. We had no problem merging with this file in Word 2007. In Word 2010 we are seeing the following error:

Word cannot start the converter sspdfcg_x64.cvn

I assume that the proper filter has not been installed, but even on a PC where this does work, a search does not find this file.

What converter needs to be installed with Office 2010 to handle CSV files when used as a data file in a Word merge.

    Thanks.

    Hi Richard,

That suggests you may have the ScanSoft PDF addin installed. If so, you should either disable or or remove and reinstall it. If not, see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/243088, in which case it seems you'll need to do a repair installation (or maybe even a custom one to add the filter).

I turns out that this was a PDF Converter (Nuance) that apparently was installing a 64 bit converter into 32 bit Office. Their next release is scheduled to remedy the problem
