Windows Defender offline
WDO doesn't see my operating system.I have a Western Digital SATA drive pluged into a PCI card.
XP works fine otherwise.

WDO only supports XP SP3 and above. Are you at XP SP3? This tool is also in beta at this time. This tool should be downloaded and used when you have a problem because it will download the latest virus definitions when needed.
