    Google Toolbar

My OS is Win 7 Pro with SP1 and all updates installed.

I had the latest version of the Google Toolbar installed. I say had because today, and this has happened twice before recently, it vanished from IE 9 and the Bing Search bar appeared, even though if I go to Manage Addons Google is still shown as the default search provider.I want to install the Google Toolbar again, but don't want to have to do this repeatedly.

Does anyone have an answer to this problem?

    Advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks and regards,Roy

If you go to View->Toolbars (click Alt to show the menu), does Google Toolbar show there? If so, checking it will restore the toolbar.

Roy, There has been considerable print recently about problems with the Google Toolbar (See I hear a voice for a very recent one) You can set Google as your default search engine without using the Toolbar. Just a thought.

I use the toolbar on IE 9 without any issues, Ted.

I went to View->Toolbars but the Google Toolbar wasn't shown there, and when I went to Manage add-ons no search providers were shown, despite the fact that Bing's search bar appeared in IE9. I then reinstalled the Google Toolbar, and reset Google as the default search provider, and hope this time it doesn't mysteriously vanish.

    Thanks for the replies.

    Regards,Roy
