PHP, invalid function calls give no run-time error
I've encountered a configuration problem: when PHP encounters an undefined function, it just dies. There's no error message. It makes this type of problem very hard to find!
I thought I had to change the value of error_reporting, but I discovered that it's initially set to E_ALL. That doesn't leave much room for improvement.
I encountered this problem on my development system, which runs PHP 5.2.17 under Windows 7. I tried the same test on my client's production server, which runs PHP 5.2.17 under Linux; it also has error_reporting set to E_ALL, and displays a message normally.
Has anyone encountered this problem? Know a solution?
