Why are my e-mails all "Normal" in Outlook 2010?

Why do all the emails have a Heading Normal

    Focke,

Welcome to the lounge as a new poster.

Could you be a little more explicit in your explaination? Perhaps include a screen capture of what you are talking about?

    Some Outlook Tips and Tricks

The reference you linked to does not look that promising.

Check View, Options to see if you can change the displayed header there.

This could be a Priority rating. See this article from MS

This is copied directly from the above referenced page:

From the Untitled Message dialog box displayed, click
the Options icon to display the Message Options dialog box. Do the
    necessary settings:

I do not use Outlook so I cannot verify this, but it sure does appear correct.

That's how to change Importance or Sensitivity for a single message.

To remove Importance or Sensitivity from the message list, use:

View, Current View, Customize Current View, Fields; select Importance or Sensitivity under "Show these fields in this order" then click Remove and OK.

The illustrated example is not 2010 However, thank you for the advice

Sorry to disagree with you on:-
    http://lindburghs-reference-library....m/Introduction

The information cotained therin is staggering.

However, with all your suggestions I have acheived the removal as Below:-

How to remove the title Normal in the heading box of Outlook 2010

    Click View
On the extreme left-hand side of the ribbon three Icons display
Click Change View > Manage View > Manage all Views
    Select Modify
Show Columns > Header Start in right-hand pane high-light and click Remove

If you do not use the facility of flags you can remove these here also
