Remove Outlook configuration data, contacts, etc for new owner of Laptop

Is it possible to remove emails, contacts or account configuration settings that were used on Office XP Professional with Windows 7 Pro OS? I gave my laptop to my son when I bought a new one and he uninstalled Office XP and installed Office 2010 Home and Business but my account and contacts are still there. He wants to get me out of "his" laptop.

Removing the .pst file in use will get rid of messages and contacts. Removing the accounts is easier, just delete them using Outlook's options to delete accounts.

After following ruirib's advice, I would go to the mail applet in Control panel, create a new profile and delete the old one.
