    Temporary Files

I have a large number of files as follows: Temporary_5_File0358_JPG.~CR all with the same date and shown as CR files.

Is it OK to delete these files? I cannot open them.

Yes, it's ok. I would think they came from a camera, maybe in a RAW format.

You might want to consider an app called CCleaner for deleteing temp files. Just check ahead of time to see what you will be deleting. For example, when using MSE, after a scan a log is set which, if deleted, will think the scan hasn't been run and will start to bug you to run again.

Here is a shot of what I choose to delete:

Also be very careful if using the Registry cleaner. If you delete the wrong thing, your PC may not work. Always create a full Image when using any of these type apps. Once you are comfortable what you are deleting, you will find yourself using this more often.

    Thanks to both of you.
