    Ie9

Why is it that so often on my win7 machine I have to click two times to get the browser to move.

I do not understand what you are attempting to do. Where do you want the browser to move to? I guess I need more info.

I'm working in ie9. I click on something and it acts as if I hadn't clicked on anything until I click again.

OK, now I understand. Are you sure the problem is with IE and not your mouse? I have one web site (Yahoo) that I have to click my back button on my mouse 3 times before it moves. This seems to be the only site for me. Is your problem confined to a particular web site, or all web sites? Have you tried a different browser? Does this double click problem occur with anything other than IE?

I would try to look at the mouse manufacturer site and update drivers if any are available. Also try to isolate if the problem is with particular sites or every site and with just IE.
