    Dial-Up Port Error

When using a dial-up connection to connect to internet, I receive an error message late in the process (i.e. server has been verifying username and password information already). It says something to the effect of "Error 619: Port could not be opened" (or is already open). The More Info button indicates there could be some kind of security issue, that the present user does not have administrator rights. The same error occurs under the Administrator account, or when that user is given (yikes!) administrator rights. The same dial-up connection is successful from a W98 machine. I can't seem to find anything on the MSKB - does anyone here have some clues for me?

    Re: Dial-Up Port Error

I saw something similar on the machine with ZoneLab ZoneAlarm installed, but not running. Check third-party firewalls.
