Video Out Of Sync With Audio

My OS is Win 7 Pro 32 bit with SP1 and all updates installed.

I usually have no problems with divx video files, but with three I acquired recently the video is slightly out of sync with the audio.

Does anyone know of a method or program that can solve this problem?

    Help would be appreciated.

    Thanks and regards, Roy

Have those DivX videos tested on another system, it's possible they were ripped poorly.
If this is the case then they will be MUCH harder to fix, not worth it imo unless they are very very very rare acquisitions.

    Roy,

If the original file e.g. .AVI is out of sync, no matter what you do it will stay that way. Try another file on your system.

Many video editors will let you adjust the sync of the audio. I use Pinnacle Studio and it has this capability. Of course, it is sort of a trial-by-error thing where you move the audio and then watch it to see if the lip movements are now in sync. As CLiNT noted, not really worth it unless the video cannot be recreated from the source.

BTW, I have noticed with Pinnacle Studio that if I do not crop the first second or so of a video when I process it that the audio gets out of sync. And it's a lot easier to just reedit the video that it is to try to resync the audio.
